Filey is a popular family seaside town, smaller and quieter than the nearby resorts of
Bridlington and
Scarborough, it has the usual seaside amusements and a long sandy beach
which is ½ mile from the station.
The Lifeboat Station is usually open daily for visitors.
A 1 mile walk along the coast path leads to Filey Brigg, a rocky promontory with views of Filey Bay.
