The centre of Westerfield village (by the church) is ½ mile from the station. Westerfield is mostly served by trains to and from Felixstowe, note that these use the southern platform in both directions. The northern platform is used only by trains to Woodbridge and Lowestoft.

Framlingham Castle EH by bus

A magnificent example of a late 12th century castle with imposing stone walls and crenellated towers. An exhibition tells the story of the Castle. Wall-walk with spectacular views. Museum of local history.
Open Apr-Oct, Daily 1000-1800 (1700 in Oct). Nov-Mar, SSu 1000-1600.

Bus 118/119 to Framlingham, 36 minutes journey. M-S about every 1½ hours. Return buses depart from different stops: 118 from Bridge Street, 119 from White Horse. Operated by Ipswich Buses. These buses also operate from Ipswich Old Cattle Market Bus Station.
