Kettering is an industrial market town with markets held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Like other towns in Northamptonshire, Kettering grew in the 19th century with the development of the boot and shoe industry. The Horsemarket Bus Interchange is ½ mile from the railway station.
