Mother Shipton's Cave on the banks of the River Nidd is England's oldest tourist attraction, open since 1630.
It is the legendary birthplace of the prophetess, Mother Shipton. The high mineral content of the water of the petrifying well
'turns items to stone' as if by magic. Riverside walk. Wishing well. Adventure playground. Events programme.

The grounds of Conyngham Hall are open free of charge and include riverside walks and a picnic area.
