Jones's Mill Nature Reserve ½ mile

A reserve of wet woodland, ponds and wet grassland with natural springs and the River Avon. The wetland wildlife includes water voles, dragonflies and birds such as the kingfisher. Boardwalks are provided but paths may be muddy. Admission free.

Marlborough by bus

Marlborough is a picturesque market town with a wide High Street lined with historic buildings. Markets are held in the High Street on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Bus X5 from near station and North Street to Marlborough High Street, 21 minutes journey. M-S about every 1½ hours. Operated by Salisbury Reds.

The Merchant's House, Marlborough by bus

A restored 17th century prosperous silk merchant's house. It is a fine timber and brick building with wall paintings and a commanding oak staircase. Reconstructed 17th century town house garden.
