West Midlands Metro
Soho Benson Road is a West Midlands Metro stop, the Metro also stops at the nearby railway stations of Jewellery Quarter and The Hawthorns.
Soho House was the Georgian home of the industrialist Matthew Boulton and it has been restored to reflect
the fashions and tastes of the late Georgian period. Admission to the House is by guided tour.
Items from Boulton's factory can be seen, including buttons, buckles, clocks, vases and silverware.
Boulton developed the steam engine in partnership with James Watt. Soho House was the meeting place of the Lunar Society
which met to discuss philosophical matters of the day, members included Erasmus Darwin, James Priestly, James Watt and Josiah Wedgwood.
