The ancient woodland with clearly marked paths is a good place to see bluebells during April-May.
South-east of the woodland there are downland meadows with public access and good views.
Enter through the pedestrian gate on Outwood Lane then to the nearby car park and uphill to the woodland.
A nature trail and map can be downloaded from the Surrey County Council website (search for Banstead Woods).
A Narnia trail with carved wooden characters starts from the car park.
Open at all times.
