Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve ¾ mile (South Stn), 1½ miles (North Stn)

A large wetland nature reserve with fen meadow, reed fen, grazing marsh and pockets of wet woodland. Nature trail. Reserve map available from the website, also from the Education Centre when open. Suffolk Wildlife Trust tel. 01473 890089.

East Anglia Transport Museum 1¾ miles (South Stn), 2½ miles (North Stn)

View and ride on vintage trams, trolleybuses and a 2ft gauge light railway. Authentic street furniture adds to the atmosphere. Events programme. Tearoom. Tel. 01502 518459.
