Crewkerne is a historic market town with attractive stone buildings in the town centre. The town centre is 1¼ miles from the station but there's a path all the way beside the road from the station. Infrequent buses pass the station but it will usually be quicker to walk, for bus times see www.traveline.info.

The Museum covers the history of Crewkerne and surrounding villages, including Crewkerne's importance
as a Saxon royal mint, a sotpping place for travellers and the local textile industry.

The nature reserve is peaceful haven on Bincombe Hill immediately north of the town centre with great views
over the town and countryside. It takes its name from a magnificent line of old beech trees.
