Retford is an attractive market town on the River Idle and the Chesterfield Canal. Retford railway station has two parts with a short walk between them: high level on the mainline from London to Doncaster and low level on the local line from Sheffield to Lincoln and Barnetby. Retford Bus Station is ¾ mile from the railway station.
