The O2 arena hosts many events and exhibitions, the precinct around it containing shops and restaurants is open daily. Greenwich is pronounced 'Gren-itch'.
From North Greenwich station it is 2 miles along the Thames Path to the Thames Barrier which is 1 mile from Charlton station. It is also 2 miles along the Thames Path in the other direction to Greenwich but there are currently several building sites along this section and there may be diversions in place.
A cable car system across the Thames to Royal Victoria.
At 90 metres above the Thames there are good views during the 5-10 minutes journey.

A freshwater wetland nature reserve opened in 2002 on a site which was once heavily industrialised.
It now supports a wide variety of wildlife which can be seen from the boardwalks and bird-watching hides.
Remember to look at the nearby Thames too as you walk to the Ecology Park. Admission free.
