Leighton House Museum ½ mile

The former studio-house of the artist Frederic, Lord Leighton which today contains examples of his oil paintings, sketches, drawings and sculptures as well as a small collection of personal objects.
Open closed for redevelopment until summer 2022.

Design Museum ¾ mile

The museum shows the development of modern design, looking at the roles of designer. manufacturer and user. The exhibition covers a wide range of topics including architecture, engineering, fashion, graphics and the digital world. Temporary exhibitions programme. Admission free but charges for some temporary exhibitions.
Open Daily 1000-1800, last admission 1700.
The Design Museum is ½ mile from High Street Kensington station.

The Victorian family home of Punch cartoonist Edward Linley Sambourne.

Kensington Palace 1¼ miles or by bus

Kensington Palace has been home to royalty for over 300 years and is still used today. Displays in the State Rooms tell the story of royalty associated with the Palace, including Queen Victoria who lived here as a child. Temporary exhibitions. Gardens. Cafés.
Open WThFSSu 1000-1800 (1700 Nov-Feb).
Bus 9 from near station to 'Kensington Palace' (displayed and announced on bus) then a short walk through Kensington Gardens. Buses daily, every 10 minutes, about 8 minutes journey.
