Wetland Centre by bus

A wetland landscape covering more than 100 acres near the heart of London. Over 160 wild bird species, butterflies, moths, dragonflies and amphibians. World Wetlands area with otters, ducks, geese and swans from around the world. Bird watching hides, observatory, pond dipping sessions and wildlife gardens. Introductory film show, art gallery and indoor Discovery Centre. Café. Tel. 020 8409 4400.

Bus 485 from Lower Bus Station to Wetland Centre entrance. M-S only every 30 minutes, about 12 minutes journey. Additional frequent buses 33, 72 and 209 from Lower Bus Station to Barnes Red Lion, then ¼ mile walk. Hammersmith Lower Bus Station is adjacent to the District and Piccadilly lines Underground station (follow signs), from the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines Underground station cross the road outside, cross again to the left and follow signs through the shopping centre.
The Wetland Centre is 1 mile from Barnes station.
