An extensive castle beside the River Thames, known as the 'Tower' after the massive White Tower
which was built in 1078. It has played a prominent part in English history, initially as a royal palace
and later as a prison. Once the home of the Royal Mint, today it houses the Crown Jewels.

Moored on the Thames, HMS Belfast is Europe's only surviving big gun armoured warship surviving from
the Second World War. There are nine decks to explore, from the Captain's Bridge down to the boiler and
engine rooms below the waterline.
