Skegness is a family-friendly seaside resort with a sandy beach ½ mile from station and traditional seaside attractions including amusement arcades and a pier (¾ mile from station). Outside the station there is a statue of the Jolly Fisherman from the famous 'Skegness is so Bracing' railway poster. Skegness Bus Station (also called Skegness Interchange) is adjacent to the Railway Station.
Skegness is the terminus of the Poacher Line from Nottingham and Grantham.

Walk south from Skegness along Drummond Road (which becomes Gibraltar Road) to the Reserve's entrance immediately
after Aylmer Avenue. At this point take the path which runs parallel to the road on the right side. You will shortly reach
paths to birdwatching hides or continue ½ mile on the main path to the Visitor Centre.
A homely country house built in 1700 for the quietly influential Massingberd family. Victorian walled gardens.
