The Great Central Railway is the UK's only double track, main line heritage railway. The line runs from
Loughborough to Leicester North. Restored stations and trains hauled by steam and heritage diesel locomotives,
plus heritage railcars, recreate the 'golden age' of mainline rail travel. Loughborough is the headquarters of the line and has a signal box
and locomotive shed. Buffet on station platform. Picnic area. Events programme.

Housed in former Victorian swimming baths, the museum covers the history, geology, archaeology, wildlife and
industries of Charnwood and the surrounding area. Charnwood is the district south of Loughborough and north of Leicester.

Loughborough's Carillon Tower was built in Queen's Park as a memorial to those who lost their lives
in the two world wars. The War Memorial Museum tells the story of the tower and exhibits include wartime memorabilia.
