On Pitsea Mount (¼ mile) there is a viewpoint
overlooking the marshes, only the tower remains of the church which once stood on the mount.
The Thames Estuary Path passes Pitsea station.
A sanctuary for rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.

Raised viewing mounds give views across the marsh. Admission free.
