Created from disused gravel pits, the area has a variety of habitats including lakes, riverside, meadows,
reedbed, scrub and woodland. The Reserve is noted for its nightingales and cormorants but there is a wide variety of other
wildlife to be seen. Bird-watching hides. Visitor Centre with information, refreshments and toilets. Admission free.
Open Daily dawn-dusk. Visitor Centre SSu (and most M-F) 1000-1600.
