Dinton Pastures Country Park 1 mile to Visitor Centre

450 acres of country park with lakes, woodland and meadows. Wildlife includes ducks, geese, swans and maybe a kingfisher, plus wildflowers and dragonflies in summer. Trails of various lengths. Museum of Berkshire Aviation 2 miles (via Country Park)

The museum is on the site of Woodley Airfield, once the centre of a thriving aircraft industry. Miles and Handley Page aircraft built at Woodley are being reconstructed and exhibited alongside other records.
Open Apr-Oct, WSSu & BH 1030-1700. Nov-Mar, WSu 1200-1600.
There are buses to the Museum from Reading.
