Loddon Nature Reserve ½ mile
A wetland and woodland reserve created from a flooded gravel pit with islands and a scrubby fringe providing
ideal conditions for wintering birds including ducks, cormorant and snipe. The islands are used by breeding terns and oystercatchers.
Butterflies, dragonflies and other insects can be seen in summer. Paths may be muddy and flood in winter. Admission free.
Open at all times, best visited Jan-Aug & Dec.
