Marston Vale Millenium Country Park & Forest Centre ¾ mile to Forest Centre

The Country Park is a mix of woodland, grassland, meadow, lakes and wetland habitats. Lakeside café. Wetlands Nature Reserve* with circular trail of surfaced paths. Wildflowers grow in traditional grass meadows. Birds and other wildlife can be watched from the hides. Tel. 01234 767037.
* Passes for the Nature Reserve must be purchased from the Forest Centre.

Ampthill Great Park 1¾ miles

A Registered Historic Park which has associations with Henry VIII and Katharine of Aragon. The landscape designed by Capability Brown includes veteran trees and supports a wide range of wildlife. There are good views from the Greensand Ridge footpath. Refreshments. Just beyond the Park is the attractive Georgian market town of Ampthill. Tel. 01525 404355. Admission free.
