Severn Valley Railway, adjacent to station

A standard gauge heritage railway running 16 miles along the Severn Valley from the re-created 1930s station at Kidderminster to the market town of Bridgnorth. Steam and Diesel trains operate, see the website for train times. Railway Museum at Kidderminster. Intermediate stops include the attractive town of Bewdley and stations with nearby riverside walks. Engine House Visitor Centre and Café at Highley. Refreshment Room and Pub at Bridgnorth.

Museum of Carpet ½ mile

The Museum is housed in a former carpet factory and covers the heritage, art and industry of carpet making. Large working looms and other machinery can be seen with hand loom and power loom demonstrations (see website for times). There are many other items relating to Kidderminster and the carpet industry from the 18th century to the present day.

Harvington Hall by bus then ½ mile

Harvington Hall is a Tudor Manor House built with several hiding places for Catholic priests during the reign of Protestant Queen Elizabeth I. Moat, lake and gardens. Visitor Centre covering history of the Hall. Guided House tours. Tearoom. Events programme.

Bus 52 from near railway station (also Bus Station) to Winterfold Cottage, shortly after A450 roundabout, there is no marked stop. Then ½ mile walk. 5 minutes journey, M-S hourly, Sun infrequent. Kidderminster PlusBus tickets are valid for this journey. Operated by Diamond Bus.

Dudmaston NT by bus

Bus 297 from Bus Station (¾ mile from railway station) to entrance shortly after Quatt. 40 minutes journey. M-S every 2 hours. Buses continue to Bridgnorth for the Severn Valley Railway (see above). Kidderminster PlusBus tickets are NOT valid for this journey. Operated by Arriva.
