Down House, Home of Charles Darwin EH by bus
The ground floor rooms have been recreated as they appeared when Darwin lived here,
including his study. The first floor houses an exhibition covering his life, scientific work
and the controversy which it provoked. Gardens and the 'Sandwalk' where Darwin walked every day. Tearoom.
Open Apr-Oct, Daily 1000-1700. Nov-Mar, SSu 1000-1600.

watch for the EH sign. M-S about every 1½ hours, 20 minutes journey.
There are no bus stops at Down House, please find a safe place to wait for the return bus.
