A recommended route via Hollingbourne village and the North Downs Way is highlighted on the map, it is easy to follow
and offers good views, only a short section is steep. A shorter but less interesting route of 1¾ miles
crosses fields where the route may be harder to follow and then up a steep unsurfaced track with no views.
Beware that paths on the chalky soil may be slippery after wet weather.
A fairytale castle in the middle of a lake in landscaped parkland.
Water, woodland and flower gardens. Gatehouse exhibition, dog collar museum, maze and birds of prey centre. Restaurants and tearoom.
Open Daily 1030-1630 (1530 Oct-Mar), Grounds & Gardens from 1000. Closed on special event days, see website.
