Deal Maritime & Local History Museum ¼ mile

The history of Deal. Real and model boats, figureheads and other maritime relics.

Timeball Tower Museum ¼ mile

From 1855 to 1927 the timeball gave accurate time to nearby ships. The timeball today drops daily at 1300, during Apr-Sep it also drops hourly from 0900-1700. Working models and precision clocks. Tel. 01304 360897.

Deal Castle EH ½ mile

One of the finest Tudor artillery works in England, Deal Castle was built as part of a chain of coastal fortresses. The whole castle can be explored from the storerooms to the captain's residence. Tel. 01304 372762.
