Powell-Cotton Museum & Quex Park 1 mile

Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve by bus then ½ mile

An internationally important wetland reserve bordered by the River Great Stour with the largest reedbed in south east England. It is a great birdwatching site and there are several hides along the 4 mile circular trail.

Bus 8/8A/8X from Birchington Square (½ mile from station) to Upstreet Post Office, 13 minutes journey, M-S every 15 minutes, Sun & BH ½-hourly. Operated by Stagecoach. Buses also operate from Sturry or you can walk 3½ miles from Sturry to the western end of Stodmarsh.
