Bayford station serves the small villages of Bayford (¼ mile west of the station) and Brickendon (½ mile east).
Broxbourne Wood is a small part of the extensive Broxbourne Woods National Nature Reserve.
It includes a wooden Sculpture Trail which loops between the west and east car parks. Admission free.

Wormley Wood is another section of the Broxbourne Woods National Nature Reserve. It is ancient woodland
of mostly oak and hornbeam which is rich in wildlife with wild flowers in spring, plus birds and butterflies. Admission free.
