Holton Heath Nature Reserve is a large area of woodland and lowland heath supporting rare wildlife.
Only the Sandford Heath section is open to the public, part of this was an explosives factory during the Second World War
and an anti-aircraft gun tower remains. Birds include Dartford warbler, stonechat and nightjar. Visit in summer to see
the heather in flower.
