Note that the station is named Whittlesea although the town is Whittlesey! Arrive in good time for trains towards Peterborough because there is no access to that platform once the level crossing is closed to the road.
A local history museum on the ground floor of the 18th century town hall.
Displays include costumes, brick-making, toys and archaeology.

The reserve used to be a quarry and the abandoned pits filled with water, providing a haven for fenland
wildlife when the surrounding area was drained for farming. There is a boardwalk trail through the wetland
habitat. The reserve also has open grassland and dense scrub. Admission free.
